Annual Fund Giving Update – Fiscal Year Ends Soon!  

Quick update to District 5580 Rotarians on our Foundation giving.  As I mentioned in May, our Annual Fund giving goal is an average of $100 per Rotarian in our district.  At the time the May article was prepared, our district was averaging $67.11 per Rotarian.  Currently we are sitting at $83.38 per Rotarian, so we are closing in our goal!  A huge THANK YOU to the Rotarians that have responded and impacted our Annual Fund giving!

The Port Arthur Rotary Club- An early model for satellite clubs in Rotary

In the first few decades of Rotary International most Rotary Clubs were chartered as new clubs by an existing club. It has only been within the last twenty years or so that Rotary Clubs developed satellite clubs that met at different times than the parent club and sometimes had different dues and fee structures for meals.
